Christie Clark and Rip-Off BC Ferries

Well I went over and visited my sister and home in Victoria  for the weekend; you know the Tsawwassen to Schwartz Bay run. Its been a few years. It cost me $67.50 to get over to Victoria. Sixty seven dollars and fifty cents. F--k!  Talk about rip off. The people of BC must be stupid. The people of BC are not focusing on what needs to be focused on. The excess amounts we pay for BC ferries is stupid.

On an American boat, the same trip to Seattle from Victoria  costs me $47.50 as in Forty seven dollars and fifty cents or 20 dollars less for a longer more beautiful trip. The Swartz  Bay (Sidney) to Anacortes type run  cost me $47.50. Why do the Americans do it for so much less? Plus I get to feel like I am still in Canada, well the old Canada before the Chinese invasion; before Trudeau's multicultural bullshit. Forgive me I grew up in a Bi-lingual and Bi-cultural Canada. Je parle francaise, pas Mandarin. Anyway back to the BC ferry's rip off which is a rip off in either Canada, the old Bi-Cultural one or the new Multi-Cultural one.

It always takes two hours to get on the ferry and then another two hours to get across the waters. $67.50. Every time I think of it I get pissed off, again. In Gaglardi's day it would cost me $22.00 plus the Hope/Chilliwack RCMP roadside robbery for speeding; when speeding was 80 MILE'S per hour not the school zone kilometer speed limits on the highways of today. And when speeding tickets were points not $200.00 and a mortgage.

And then when I'm home from the journey to Victoria  I pick up my Province which has a Micheal Smyth story about the wages of BC ferry executives. who basically are making twice the wage of the Washington state ferry executives plus two pensions. BC Executives have two pensions.

That BC Ferry head honcho is making $544,000.00 a year.   I had to work 10 years to make what he makes in one. A bloody janitor could run the ferry system and run it better. The government people in Canada and BC are all overpaid hogs at the pork barrel. There needs to be a tax revolt. That was obvious right after Christie Clark's Liberals got elected and she gave her executives excessively high raises. The only reason they got reversed is because she didn't initially get elected and had to go through  a by election in Kelowna to get herself elected. We in BC are idiots. We truck along like zombies and are not paying attention to the constant BC government rip off. Being conned by a smile and a handshake.

And then you could add the extra  two vice senior people the BC Head honcho needs to help the rip off both of whom make more then the American HEAD of the larger Washington Ferry system. ( like $131,000 for head honcho in Washingtton compared to $491,000.00 for second in command in BC, including a $127,000.00 bonus) In fact the BC executives make in bonuses more then what the American head honcho makes in wages, never mind the bonuses. BCers are stupid and idiotic. A fool and his money are soon parted. BCers are fools. The Americans don't get bonus's. Is there any benefit to living in Canada? Not that I can tell. The Canadian system is an utter and complete, undeniable, rip off of the people of BC by the government employees. We need a revolution in Canada.
BC Politicians

We need to tell the MLA's in Victoria  in no uncertain terms things need to change wholesale.

We the people need another political party in BC and Canada. Carol James was taking the NDP in the right direction but the unions wanted control and dumped her. I don't see much benefit to the people. We can't afford either party. Left wing, right wing what difference does it make? We need a political party that puts the people first not the ones working for government, unionized or un-unionized, but the people. We need a government of the people by and for. My god, what is happening to my country. Quebec  seems to be  the only part that has it right politically.

Anyway I had a nice visit to Victoria  which is such a lovely City. The journey pissed me off. To the MLA's and government people running the show in Victoria hiring all their friends, let me say very clearly what I think you need to hear.

Zimmerman Trial: Knock Knock, whos there?

To all my American friends please let me say, "Wow" That is the only  word I can use to describe the entire Zimmerman fiasco from the beginning to the end. Initially he wasn't charged but, after there was a political uproar from the black community, he was. That seemed wrong.

From the system I know in Canada charges are laid by the Crown Counsel after reviewing the file submitted by the police. But only after that review by the Crown Counsel. Only after the Crown Counsel determines there is a substantial likelihood of conviction are charges proceeded with. Not based on the newscasts or the police wants or the public perceptions or some uproar from a particular community.

To me in the Zimmerman case  from the news I saw charges were only laid to appease the public outcry from the black community. From the facts reported by the news I didn't think then that  there was a substantial likelihood of conviction from the get go based on the available defense of self defense. And that is from 4000 miles away which is not a distinct advantage.

I'm not John Adams but I'm sure he'd agree with me. Your famous early President John Adams when he was a young lawyer defending some British solders accused of shooting Americans said "facts don't lie" And you can only convict based on the facts. He got those British solders off based on the facts. Anyway you don't need a Canadian telling you your history. As a friend, I'm suggesting to you guys you  need to reestablish  a faith  in your judicial system. That is important and key to your society, to its survival. You must trust your judicial system.

As it turns out the Zimmerman jury agreed with that conclusion based on the evidence, on the facts,  as well. Now the black community having bullied officials and got their way with the laying of charges now want to get the same results with the court system and bully them  into overruling the jury findings. That cant happen or you have even bigger problems. Politics and public wants have nothing to do with the judicial system. It must be neutral, judicial, impartial equal and fair. It must be devoid of politics when making decisions. It can  not be bullied.

Once your general public distrusts the fairness of your judicial system your whole political system is in deep trouble. If the public thinks it can bully the decisions into happening you have really big irreversible problems until trust returns to the judiical system.

Even the defense counsel made a joke in his opening remarks about that perception when he told the "knock knock" joke to the jury in his opening remarks to the jury no less.
"Knock knock"
"Who's there".
"George Zimmerman"
When the response from a prospective juror was "Zimmerman who" he was accepted onto the jury. He made a joke about this fact.

Considering all the press about the uproar  from the black community and no charges being laid initially  and then the laying of charges against Zimmerman but only after the public uproar, I thought the defense lawyer won that case in his opening remarks with a knock knock joke. That was the "if the glove don't fit, you must acquit"  moment.

Now the black community seem to think they can bully a conviction into happening. And with all due respect to the black community that is wrong.. The laying of charges was wrong. The overreaction by the black community is wrong.Only the jury got it right in this whole fiasco.

Building in the Gulf Islands

It was the 90s but building a cabin on Galiano, one of the Gulf Islands, was an experience  very unlike on the mainland. The workers got to work and smoked the slow down drug. Nothing on this island was done quickly . It was done carefully and accurately with precision tools and a careful eye. But I got to say they knew how to use tools. This was the work of Artisans not carpenters
The framing was awesome. The cabin was built by hippies. The lumber came from trees fell on the same acreage they grew on over 30 years. The finished product was a wooden masterpiece like nothing in Vancouver.
The gulf islands off of Vancouver got a speedy boost in population during the Viet Nam war. Many draft dodgers settled here and made a life for themselves. In a beautiful part of the world where the sun was shining while it rained in Vancouver. Many bio diversities throughout the islands where special erotic plants grow but only in those few square yards of soil.

Allah just Met Caesar

Egypt has been historic today, monumentally. The most major difference between Christians and Muslims can be explained in those biblical words of Jesus Christ, when he answered a question about who rules by saying, "render onto Caesar the things that are Caesars" thereby leaving the issues of spiritual or souls and morality to be ruled by God. Islam doesn't have a similar direction from Mohamed. The directions and interpretations by Islam have been quite the opposite in that everything springs from Allah there is no civilian realm of authority so everything is religious. No room for compromise.

Afghanistan was given the opportunity to start that Islamic reformation but that Afghanistan green coat guy never took the opportunity being afforded him. He ducked to accommodate the extremist Taliban, being the politician he is. He kept Afghanistan in the dark ages.

Egyptians weren't going to let that happen to Egypt. Egypt after the fall of the dictator wanted to achieve that accommodation between the Religious and Civil realms with the two corners described by Christ but Islamic. The people didn't want to achieve a godless society. They gave the Muslim Brotherhood the opportunity to set it up. They trusted Morsi to do that but he was too Muslim, too firm in his Muslim belief to accommodate a civilian corner. He wanted everything to be ruled by Islam. There was no room to render anything unto Caesar. Like most Muslim countries. They can't accommodate others. Either you are Muslim or you are an infidel. Except in Egypt. The Egyptians weren't going to let that happen and the military has given them a second chance to get it right. It will be the first real democratic Muslim country that accommodates others even minorities.
The Muslim Brotherhood hopefully has learned. The people rule not Islam. Morsi must be feeling like the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The people rule not Islam. Islam can be a major guide to those doing the ruling not the sole guide.

Canadian Space Oddity

There has been a major event I watched on TV this week The Canadian Commander of the International Space station, Chris Hadfield invaded space and added a dimension that brought space travel home to earth as he circled the earth in a "tin can". He brought substance to that old David Bowie tune and made even 65 year olds like me want to be astronauts.

I know Americans were watching the aftermath from the insanity of the  latest Muslim horror at the Boston marathon and hockey fans were watching the NHL anointing of the Pittsburgh Penguins as either the Boston Bruins or LA kings try to trump the NHL plan. Don't take my word for it. Incredible stuff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo
Ground control to Major Tom...

This song will usher in the space age and done by a Canadian Chris Hadfield. Who was David Bowie?

                                                             I. S. S.
And then there is the song by Chris Hadfield and Ed Robertson of the Barenaked ladies "Is Somebody Singing"( with the lyrics on the screen.) The lyrics are the neatest summary of the political dramas currently unfolding around the world that herald the introduction of the  space age. The words make me cry every time I hear them. "If you could see our nation from the Internation-al Space Station you'd know why I want to get back soon" "You can't make out borders (or religions for that matter) from up here. Just a spinning ball within a tiny (and I repeat the word tiny) atmosphere." The lyrics are to be read and heard and understood. "Look out my window, there goes home. That ball of shiny blue houses everybody anybody ever knew" This is not King Arthurs birds eye view of Camelot. It is Canadian Chris Hadfield's astronauts view of Earth

And how about the Barenaked ladies adding the first outer space rock and roll....
So sing your song Im listening
out where stars are glistening
I can hear your voices bouncing off the moon
If you could see out nation
From the Internation-al space station
You'd know why I want to get back soon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ueh-qFGHELA

Pushed back in my seat.
Look out my window , there goes home
That ball of shiny blue houses everybody anybody ever knew

 Floating from my seat
Look out my window
That brilliant ball of blue
Id where I'm from, and also where I'm going to

Pushed back in my seat
Look out my window
Here comes home
What once was fueled by fear
Now has 15 Nations orbiting together here.

.... you can see our mission.

Chris Hadfield has given me a purpose.

The Blue Buses of Puerto Vallarta

Have you got gall stones? Cholesterol problems? Well, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico has your answer. The Blue Buses! No operations, pills or surgery needed. These buses will shake it, (maybe rattle would be a more active verb) right out of you. Bouncing is a gimme as drivers are doing 60 miles an hour on a “stone missing” filled street. Anyone who has ridden a bus to Centro downtown Vallarta past the Malacon or Romantic zone knows what I mean. The city of Puerto Vallarta has made a deliberate effort to preserve the old fishing village look to PV complete with the pot-holed cobblestone streets; serviced by these ancient blue buses. I don't know where the green buses go yet. This was my blue bus year.

The PV bus maintenance guys have long ago given up on fixing shocks or brakes. And the bus driver’s manoeuvre  like shocks or new brakes don’t matter anyway. Only passengers count. So any ride is complete with smiles and the sounds of metal on metal as frame hits axel and the drivers race one another to pick up passengers. Klang! Clunk! I mean metal on metal. You know the sound. KaKlunk! No shocks. Almost makes you want to say “ouch”.

As well the ride includes the sounds of no brake liners screeching. I know, back home in Vancouver, neighbours for three blocks will tell you, at the slightest whisper of the wheels hitting the brake with no rubber, the sound of metal on metal. KaScreech “You need new brakes!” Not in PV.

When wanting a bus, if you don’t raise your hand and point at the bus; the “point” indicating I’m a passenger in waiting, you can wait for the next bus. No problem as it is right on the bumper of the bus passing you, unless he is speeding pass that bus and therefore can’t see you.  The bus is filled with bobble heads all sporting a nice tan of course as this is Puerto Vallarta. You can always tell when someone is a new arrival to PV when they have no tan or are asking for a bus schedule. With bumper to bumper buses, who needs schedules?

The one thing sure to piss off a Blue Bus driver is a yellow cab driver getting in his way. New York could use Blue Buses as could Toronto or Vancouver. When a Blue Bus driver is pissed off, he speeds up. Nothing can replace the KaKlunks and KaScreeechs of a Blue bus being driven by a kapissed off bus driver.

A very efficient system for 6 and one half pesos (about 35 cents). One zone or three zones matters not. Six and one half pesos for all those KaLunks and KaScreecheechss and kabobbled gall stones is a bargain.

And, if you want to soak up the culture of Mexico and Mexicans, absolutely nothing compares with a bus ride. Try it and you will see. Get off that cruise ship and bus it from the Marina to the Romantic zone and walk up to where Elizabeth Taylor’s house used to be. Soak up that PV sun. To be part of the race to passengers complete with the bobbling and the sounds  is worth more than any picture of a beautiful sunset. Really is incredible stuff and the cost is only 6 and one half pesos.

Take in the scenic Banderas Bay. Get a 4 dollar one hour haircut, a 25 dollar massage that really gets the crap out of your belt line and radishes as big as an apple. And you will ask yourself, “Why am I spending my winters in the rain or snow?”

The #3 bus to El Remance
Truly one of the best, quickest and most efficient bus systems in the world.

Why did Sandy Hook Happen?

The problem confronting the USA is the same one it has been for decades. They are unwilling to change the attitude that creates the problem. Instead they find excuses. Sure they need to ban assault rifles on the streets. But more importantly they need to confront the attitude of the backers of the NRA. not just ban the guns. So long as the attitude is not confronted the wall street fiasco's, the banks needing bail outs, the resulting recession and unemployment,  the Sandy Hook type massacres will go on.

The USA will support shows like Survivor when the people with the wrong attitudes get to be the winners and behaviors that are undesirable are rewarded. So long as back stabbing, dishonest, two faced cons are rewarded in your culture and exalted on your TV it will be the assassin that is promoted and revered not the Lincoln. If you want to know why there was a Sandy Hook massacre, look in the mirror. Like Micheal Jackson sang " if you want to make the world a better place, take  a look at the man in the mirror and make a change". Then and only then will the Sandy Hooks stop.

Banning the assault rifles is great but confronting the attitude behind those that support the NRA is the big  thing needing to be done. You need to tell them to fuck off big time. So long as outfits like Sprint and Ford will spend their advertising dollers on shows like Survivor and be rewarded for doing so you will have Sandy Hooks.. Thats the WHY.

It shows in your face---The Portal of Light

A portal of light has been created to nourish the health of all animals or peoples around the Salish Sea. It is now a sacred place to be blessed. A portal of light has been created to bring angels to the region and all birds rejoice. Eagles and hummingbirds are flying together. The horses run in joyful herds. It is like a ballad I heard about a windwalker that is the wounded healer who comes to share compassion and love. Like those of a child of God himself. Community. To stop being on opposite sides we get to become one with the area that surrounds the Salish Sea as a collective entity, its peoples, its animals, its air, its water. That is a spiritual adventure that has no end. You cant  touch infinity. The only way to experience it is from the eyes of a hummingbird on a 360 end to end. I think of hummingbirds as filled with endurance full of playful energy, happy , joyous and free. I have looked into the face of joyous freedom and it shows in his face.

You don't have to tell how you live each day

You don't have to say if you work or play

However you work it will show in your face

The false, the deceit that you bear in your heart

Will not survive where it first got its start

For sinew and blood is a thin veil of lace

What you wear in your heart, you wear in your face

If your life is unselfish, if for others you live

For not what you get but how much you can give

If you live close to God in his infinite grace

You don't have to tell it. It shows in your face.

Ford and 7UP and Sprint support Fraud and Dishonesty

Survivor is a CBS show that rewards two faced, dishonest, back stabbing, underhanded, cheating people who are willing to con you or steal from you while smiling to your face. Basically the kind of weasels that one would never want in his or her life. This is the attitude that led to the collapse of Wall street and needing a tax payer bail out and which started this last recession. FORD and 7 UP support this greedy attitude with their advertising dollars. I will never buy a Ford or 7 UP again. I was about to buy a car but it will definitely not be a Ford. If you support honesty and fair mindedness please forward this blog to all your friends. Lets occupy via our TV's

Volenti Non Fit Injuria

Shanahan needs to hear this loud and clear. The NHL needs to have a few players charged with assault in the USA. This has been made obvious by Shanahan's inability to rein in the assaults taking place on the ice. There is no general exemption granted to the NHL from the provisions of the Criminal Code neither in Canada nor in the USA.

A vicious elbow to any head is an assault. An elbow covered with hard plastic and delivered with forceful muscle to a persons head can cause serious injury. It is not hard to prove that this  is an assault. The defense would be based on consent. When a player consents to a fight he can  not be heard to complain about it if he suffers injury.  This is covered by the Latin maxim known as "Volenti non fit injuria". This maxim has saved the NHL a special place. But but! There are public limits to the amount of injury a player can consent to. These are defined by the courts. And they include any injury that is long lasting or  PERMANENT.  The present day happenings  on the ice exceeds the allowable limits as defined in a criminal court and need a public review in a criminal court.  Not by the NHL.  The NHL has shown itself unable to define this appropriately

The present violence happening on the ice whereby the star players are targeted so as to cause injury and take them out of the game thereby enhancing the offender's teams chances of winning is criminal. The state of Pennsylvania or the Province of BC needs to charge the offenders with assault and send them to jail and seek a sentence of years that will be a serious deterrent to others. THIS needs to happen now and put an end to the violence that has over  taken the NHL.

Danial Sedin got an elbow to the head from Duncan Keith from the Chicago Blackhawks that has taken Sedin, the number 1 scorer with the Canucks, out of the playoffs and thereby affecting Vancouver's chances of winning the Stanley Cup. No player when the agrees to play NHL hockey can consent to that kind of violence. This is dictated by public policy not by social bullies like Don Cherry, Shanahan or some other idiot passing himself off as an analyst on some sports show and saying "oh this is playoff hockey" Fuck you.  There is no hockey that allows an infringement of "Volenti non fit injuria", as dictated by the public interests, as defined by a criminal court.

Additionally the NHL has shown an inability to be consistent. When Duncan Keith delivered his intentional vicious elbow to Danial Sedin's head he got 2 minutes from O'Hallaran. When Byron  Bitz with Vancouver delivered his intentional but less vicious elbow to Kyle Clifford's head he got 5 minutes, and a game misconduct from O'Rourke allowing LA to score a goal and affect the outcome of the game. Why the difference? Unless you are trying to affect the games outcome. Why the inconsistency? The Vancouver Canucks, a Canadian team, always get the short end of this inconsistency. Why?

BC needs a People ( read Conservative ) Government; Canadian's future TAXATION at stake

Seriously, in this country, especially in BC, we need to do something to change the direction of taxation. We have been led down the path to financial injustice by too many left wing parties to a path that is not sustainable where by there are two classes of people: the government class and the rest of us. There are those who are rich based on the receipt of an income and a pension and endless benefits (medical and dental) and bonuses from government.

These people think taxes are an endless source of money for them and then there are  the class of people who pay taxes every way we turn. There are taxes on food now the HST (whenever that comes to an end). The GST tax on food will remain. There are taxes on gas which is a tax built into the price of food. There are taxes on hydro and of course there are taxes on income. There are property taxes and the sales taxes on everything we buy besides food. People who work for the public payroll always want more and the Liberal, or left wing politicians, always give them more.

We need a hard nosed political party that is of the people, that is by the people and that is for the people AND not by and for the government people. Canadians have for too long been too trusting of government thinking they would always act for us in our best interests. But we ignored that they were acting for their best interests, that is for their pocket books all along. THIS trust of government  must end. We don't just have one King we have a few 100,000 kings hiding under the name of  civil servants

I don't believe this will end without violence and I mean a good old fashioned Boston Tea party right here in Canada, a revolution complete with guns and shootings. Then and only then will the government class take it serious and make a readjustment. It is time Canadians lost their reputation for being polite; too polite. We have been fools for too long.

It won't happen in Quebec because they are too Catholic which is no more or less then a religious left wing. They still buy into the old catholic idea that it is as hard for a rich man to get into heaven as it is for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. In the next federal election the NDP must be shut out of Canada and isolated to Quebec.

In BC the Liberal and NDP must both be shut out. We need a leader to stand up for people in BC and for people to trust him or her. Where is he?

Alternatively  in the same fashion that Ronald Reagon brought down communism with the use of 20% interests rates, which brought the Berlin Wall. These can be used to bring down this government class. When interests rates start hitting 12 or 13 % you will see that revolution right here in Canada. No more politeness just a lot of FUCK you government assholes, teachers and nurses included. WE have been too optimistic to think that the ones we elect will actually do something about this problem.

WE have been too optimistic to think that the ones we elect will actually do something about this problem.
Maybe it is time to bring out more then  a watering can as obviously this problem needs some serious attention.

To the VCP: The NHL refs are BAD

The Vancouver City Police are doing their best to destroy the lives of 100's of teenagers involved in that Stanley Cup Riot for the stupid thing they did. But if the VCP were to be honest they would have to admit that the SHODDY reffing in the NHL was a factor in causing the riot. Get a copy of the tape of the last game between Chicago and Vancouver and review it. Reviewing photos and  tapes must be second nature to you by now. Ask yourself was O'Hallaran consistent and fair in the reffing using the NHL rule book. I'm sure you will agree he wasn't. If he was, Keith would have  got 5 minutes for the elbow to Sedin. Why is it when OHallaran is the ref Vancouver always gets twice as many penalties as the other team. Chicago got 6 minutes being in the penalty box Vancouver got 10 minutes. There is a Vancouver player in the hospital yet Vancouver got twice as many penalties as Chicago. A different ref and the game might have been won by Vancouver.

It is time you guys looked at the NHL for fraud and do some preventative policing.Being fraudulent in the NHL can be done in a sneaky way. Prevent the next riot before it happens. Investigate the NHL for fraud.

To PM Harper and Pres Obama: re Marijuana

Legalize POT: Do what is right

Both you guys need to recognize what is right and just do it because you can. There will  not be a political backlash. In fact it will be a rewarding experience for both of you politically. It will lead to jobs and more government revenue at a time when such is needed in both countries. It will lessen the numbers of people being killed in Mexico. It will lead to social justice and lessen the costs to society. And by costs I mean the money being wasted on enforcement and the wrongful imprisonment of non criminals. There are no arguments to keeping it a crime. I hold you able to fix this. Why frigging wait? What are you waiting for?

Do this now and every other story hitting the news will be smothered by your clarity of vision  the justness of your vision to do what is right not just popular. The other side will be the losers.

In my life time I have smoked pot with MP's, MLA's, municipal politicians, judges of the Provincial Court, administrative judges of the Provincial court, teachers, Principals from high school or elementary school, with RCMP officers, Van City Police officers, with gays and straights, with parents. The movies I've seen shows that most if not all of Hollywood smokes it. The people dying in Mexico over this substance is criminal. Just legalize it and get it over with. The Canadian government needs the tax money for seniors. The American government needs the tax money for a variety of things. Why borrow money for over pensioned politicians and pass the burden onto your children  when you could tax the pot they are using.

Any student learns in University that if a law is not supported by the people it will be ignored. The law making pot illegal is not supported by the people. (ignore the government people). For Gods sake smarten up and legalize the stuff. It is not addictive. I quit by choice.

Bill Cosby Im 76 :To the Occupiers in Victoria

Bill Cosby: "I'm 76 and Tired"

I'm 76. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National Service, I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for some some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia, New Zealand, UK, America and Canada, while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's bedeck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 76.. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and her children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.

Like a Fly on their nose

The Liberals don`t get it yet. They keep operating under the old fashioned Bob Rae illusion. They need to hold town hall meetings cross country and get into a grass roots type movement as opposed to the family compact top down nonsense. They cant see the fly on their nose. The dont need to merge with the NDP. The NDP problem is that they are so closely associated with unions, that they will never be the federal government. The Liberals can be left wing without being beholding to the Union movement. The Liberals can say no to Unions if need be. Unions are good for the working man. Unfortunately the business agents for Unions only know one word .....more. They will bankrupt a business before they will recognize they must back off.

Carol James in BC had the right idea, the winning approach as she distanced herself from unions but the unions wanted the power and they got Adrian Dix who will now lose to Christy Clarke. In government you can be NDP and Catholic like in Quebec. You can be left wing and NDP like Jack Layton. But you cant be Union and NDP not in government. Bob Rae should know that but obviously he is thick headed. We the tax payer can hardly afford the public unions we got. Only the Liberals can be left wing and responsible. Liberals need to focus on policies as dictated by the grass roots just like the Reform Party did. Get started dummies. Quit taking short cuts.

Canada and Columbia August 2011

August 10, 2011
Bogotá, Colombia

Prime Minister Stephen Harper along with President Juan Manuel Santos announced that the Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement will come into force on August 15, 2011. The Prime Minister also announced increased assistance to strengthen human rights in Colombia. We are improving free trade and humand rights

Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement

The Government is committed to an ambitious free trade and investment agenda that will create new opportunities for Canadian businesses and workers.

Colombia is an established market for Canadian businesses, and the Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will benefit a wide range of exporters and service providers, as well as promote a more stable and predictable climate for Canadian investment.

Canada ratified the FTA, and parallel agreements on labour cooperation and the environment on June 29, 2010. Once implemented, this FTA will benefit Canada’s producers and exporters, reduce or eliminate tariffs on nearly all current Canadian exports, and provide a more predictable, transparent and rules-based trading environment for Canadian investors.

The FTA includes a separate agreement that will call for Canada and Colombia to produce annual reports on the impacts of free trade on human rights in both countries. This agreement will also enter into force on August 15, 2011, and join a range of initiatives – including advocacy and bilateral and development cooperation – through which Canada supports Colombia’s ongoing efforts towards greater peace, security, prosperity and respect for human rights.

Colombia is a dynamic emerging market with 45.5 million people and an economy with high growth potential. An increasing number of Canadian investors and exporters are entering the Colombian market. In 2010, two-way merchandise trade between Canada and Colombia totalled more than $1.4 billion, with hundreds of Canadian companies doing business with Colombia. Colombia is also a strategic destination for Canadian direct investment, particularly in mining, oil exploration, printing and education. The total stock of Canadian direct investment in Colombia reached $824 million in 2010.

Over 70 Canadian companies have foreign direct investment in Colombia, concentrated in the oil and gas, mining, banking, wholesale distribution, education, footwear, paper and food processing sectors.

On June 29, 2010, legislation to implement Canada’s Free Trade Agreement with Colombia received Royal Assent. The agreement will reduce or eliminate tariffs, and provide a more predictable, transparent and rules-based trading environment for investors.

Canada signed a double taxation agreement with Colombia on November 21, 2008. Implementing legislation for this agreement received Royal Assent on December 15, 2010. Canada sent its notice of ratification to Colombia on December 20, 2010. The agreement, however, will not enter into force until Colombia sends its notice of ratification.

Improving Human Rights in Colombia

Prime Minister Harper also announced three projects that will support the Government of Colombia in its efforts to improve human rights in the country. These commitments, being delivered through the Canadian International Development Agency, along with multilateral partners, will help reduce inequality and poverty in the most vulnerable populations, with a special focus on children and youth.

Achieving the Rights of Children and Adolescents ($17,000,000)

In partnership with: UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) 2009-2014

This project:

Focuses on the most disadvantaged areas of the country and on vulnerable population groups (Afro-Colombians, indigenous peoples, internally displaced people, people affected by violence, and individuals living in rural or poor areas).

Prioritizes 11 departments in which key social development and child rights indicators are significantly below national averages and where violence has had a significant impact on children and their families.

Will support the implementation of a policy to guarantee early childhood education for 400,000 children under the age of five; will contribute to improving the quality of education for school children; and, will promote the active participation of adolescents and children in the development of education programs and government plans that promote and protect their rights.

At the national level, the project will support the government’s efforts in the implementation of the Colombian Child and Adolescent Code.

Sustainable Development for Youth in Rural Nariño ($10,000,000)

In partnership with: UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) 2010-2015

The project:

Supports vulnerable and at-risk youth in nine municipalities of the southern Department – or administrative divisions – of Nariño to help them generate, and benefit from, legal and sustainable economic initiatives to improve their quality of life.

Aims to increase the sustainable economic options for those youth and provides training and technical assistance to develop income-generating projects, to access markets, as well as to enhance production of agricultural and non-agricultural goods.

Further strengthens local government and civil society institutions in order for them to better support youth as agents of sustainable economic development and peace.

Human Rights Protection in Colombia ($8,000,000)

With: OHCHR (United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights) 2011-2015

Through this project, Canada is supporting the OHCHR in Colombia, whose activities include the fight against impunity, and the strengthening of the capacity of the Colombian government to investigate human rights violations and breaches of international humanitarian law. The Commissioner’s Office also works to ensure the protection of, and provision of assistance to, victims of armed conflicts, human rights defenders and members of the judiciary. Canada’s support helps ensure the continuation of the Commissioner’s Office’s efforts to fulfil its monitoring and reporting mandate in Colombia.

Brazil and the USA--Barack Obama and Dilma Rouseff

Dear President Obama,
And to President Dilma Rousseff,

I hate to say this but both you two Presidents have a problem that only increased taxation will solve. And the German PM ain't gonna tell you that. Firstly in Brazil they have two problems to deal with; one is inflation and the second is an over valued currency. By implementing a consumer tax on all goods and services sold you will fight inflation by removing money from the economy and this will not increase the value of your currency like interest rates increases would. So increased taxes solves both problems

In the USA they must increase taxes but the Republicans will stop any increase in income taxes as so they should. But consumer purchase taxes are a different animal. If the rich want to buy a $100,000 car then they are paying tax at 12% on that purchase. The lower income people can buy a nice car for 20,000 with less tax payable at 12%. Lets faceit, my dear American friends,  government revenues must go up. You can not saddle your grand kids with paying for the costs of your life style and your wars. The next Afghanistan (likely Pakistan) can be solved with one bomb much cheaper

2083 A European Declaration of Independance:::: Anders Behring Breivik

Most people are still terrified of nationalistic political doctrines thinking that if we ever embrace these principles again, new “Hitler’s” will suddenly pop up and initiate global Armageddon... Needless to say the growing numbers of nationalists in Europe are systematically being ridiculed, silenced and persecuted by the current cultural Marxist multicultural political establishments since 1945. This has been a continuous ongoing process which started in 1945.This nationalism has been proded by the USA in Ukraine and will lead to war unless they smarten up. Breivek was as some would argue crazy but is he?

This irrational fear of nationalistic doctrines is preventing us from stopping our own national/cultural suicide as the Islamic colonization is increasing annually. This book presents the only solutions to our current problems.
You cannot defeat Islamisation or halt/reverse the Islamic colonization of Western Europe without first removing the political doctrines manifested through multiculturalism/cultural
Marxism…"
Anders Breivek is the tip of the iceberg. Fascism is perking below the surface

OK Question? On what basis was he wrong about his theory?

Vancouver Riots and the Disappointing, Disgusting, Shameful NHL

The NHL hasn't learned a thing in 17 years. They are still fixing games. In 1994 they fixed it for New York This year they fixed it for another eastern team this time Boston. The media say it is disappointing that the riot happened in Vancouver. I say it s disappointing that the Stanley Cup is fixed; that teams can benefit from non calls and inconsistent  completely confusing reffing. If unnecessary roughness is an offence why doesn't OHallaran call it? If slashing is an offence why doesn't WAlkom call it? If interference is an offence why does OHallaran only call it against Vancouver? Why is it only Vancouver players that get 4 games suspensions when other players get one game suspensions for the same or worse offences in the same annual series?

The media say its disgusting the riot happened in Vancouver. I say it is disgusting that the NHL suspended Rome for four games for a basic body check while Chara got nothing for what he did in Montreal by deliberating driving that Montreal player's head into the rink post. I say it is disgusting that other players get one game for what Rome got 4 games for . These riots will go on until the NHL gets investigated for Fraud. The fact the NHL gets away with this fraud is disgusting. I say it is disgusting the way OHallaran and Walkom can not call Boston for two handed slashes against Kesler (just before Boston got their first goal), or pushing Luongo into the net for a goal.

The media say it's a  shame the way the riot happened in Vancouver. I say it is a shame the way the NHL says during the regular season that this year they will give speed and skill the priority and then give way to goon squads during the playoffs; with inconsistent reffing, with confusing reffing, with non calls and illogical suspensions.

Why have rules if you don't call them? Not calling rule breakers is fraudulent and shameful. It can lead to riots where ordinary people lose their sense of right and wrong and become idiots but this idiocy is grounded in the inconsistent non-calls and fraud of the NHL. THAT IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN: NOTHING ELSE. Vancouver has shown with the Olympics and the Symphoney of Fire that crowds of over 100,000 people don't always lead to riots. Riots only happen after the NHL put their non calls  or inconsistent officiating on display where infractions dont get called and games are fixed. The NHL induces the idiocy we saw on the steeets of Vancouver. It is the NHL that must own up to their issues. Except the NHL governence people are in denial.

What we really need is a riot in the media about the NHL being a sham. ...and leading to riots
